Specialist Squads for Swimming Success

At LN Swimming, we are dedicated to helping you or your swimmer excel in swimming. We offer an all year round, 6 days a week, squad program for Loreto Normanhurst students and both male and female swimmers from the local community. Swimmers are welcome to join at any time throughout the year.

Our program caters for all swimmers ranging from stroke development, through to athletes competing at National level.

Squad Program

Our squad program offers options for swimmers at all levels and is aimed to support each swimmer’s development.

Development Stream

Our stroke development squads take swimmers from ‘Learn to Swim’ and guide them to becoming confident squad members. There is a focus on technique and stroke development for all strokes, as well as turns, finishes and dives.

For those aiming to compete, our competitive stream squads prepare swimmers for swimming events. Whether it is your first swim meet, or you are competing at the State and National level, our program provides a holistic approach combining pool, dry land training and sport science to prepare our athletes for peak performance.

Meet our Head Coach

Andrew Taufer

Andrew brings over two decades of coaching experience to Loreto Normanhurst Swimming, working with athletes who have proudly represented at State Championships, National Championships, State Teams, and Junior Australian Teams.

Andrew has a proven track record in mentoring state and national medalists, junior Australian record holders, and Aussie Masters world record holders. His coaching philosophy emphasises technical precision, skill acquisition, and fostering a passion for the sport among his swimmers. He holds an Advanced Coach Licence and Certificates III & IV in Fitness.

Andrew is passionate about guiding athletes to achieve their full potential in the pool. He leads a team of highly experienced and dedicated Swim Coaches to ensure all athletes at Loreto Normanhurst Swimming are empowered to reach their goals and excel in their swimming careers.

Jacob Seers

Jacob brings over six years of experience in competitive swimming coaching to Loreto Normanhurst, developing swimmers from junior development levels to Australian National athletes. As the Assistant Coach at the Macquarie University Swimming program, Jacob guided numerous athletes to NSW Metropolitan, NSW State, and Australian National Age qualification.

During this journey, Jacob's athletes broke SMNW records, won NSW State Age Championships, achieved National Age A-Finals, and ranked in the top three national age groups. Jacob holds an ASCTA Development Coaching Licence and a Bachelor of Human Sciences (Human Movement) degree, adding a wealth of knowledge to his coaching expertise.

Jacob joins Loreto Normanhurst Swimming as the Primary Coach of the LN Silver Squad. He is excited to work with this new batch of athletes to help them achieve their swimming goals and reach their full potential.

Liberty Temmo

Liberty is one of our Swim Coaches at Loreto Normanhurst.

She has had great success in her own swimming journey, which began at the age of 9. Through dedication and consistent training, Liberty progressed from local swimming carnivals to competitive swimming at the state and national levels. Her notable achievements include placing 2nd in the 100m Butterfly and 3rd in the 50m Freestyle at the 12&Under NSW State Finals, where she also earned her first national qualifying time.

At 16, Liberty began her career in teaching Learn to Swim, which she pursued for three years. This experience ignited her passion for coaching, leading her to join the coaching team at Loreto Normanhurst at the age of 19. Liberty is committed to helping each swimmer achieve their personal best and fostering a love for the sport.
