Information about Spring Fair
Allergy Advice
Food sold at the Fair may contain products that could cause allergies or anaphylaxis. Even where ingredients are listed in homemade goods, there may be traces. Please be vigilant in the case of known allergies/ intolerances.
Should you need first aid, please visit St Johns near the BBQ.
Dogs
Dogs are not permitted on school grounds, except for service animals as allowed by law.
Emergency Procedure
In case of emergency, proceed calmly to the Oval. Please follow instructions given by staff.
First Aid
First aid and medical emergency services are available on the day from 9am-4pm. If you feel unwell or are injured, please visit the St John first aid station located near the BBQ. Please alert a Spring Fair Volunteer if you are unable to make your way to the first aid station.
Getting Here
The best way to get to Spring Fair is by public transport. Normanhurst Station on the T9 Northern Line, an 8-minute (500m) walk to the school. Public bus services are available on Pennant Hills Rd (routes 589, 600) and Denman Pde (routes 587, 588).
A limited number of bicycle parking is available onsite. Visit Hornsby Government Cycling Map to download the city's cycling route map.
Free Loreto Normanhurst Spring Fair Shuttle Bus!
We’re excited to be hosting the Loreto Normanhurst Spring Fair on Sunday! We are anticipating a large number of visitors on the day and as part of our commitment to sustainability and reducing traffic in the local area, are pleased to offer a complimentary shuttle bus service. Look out for the Loreto Normanhurst-branded mini-bus!
Shuttle Bus Details:
- Operating hours: 10am – 3pm
- Stops:
- Normanhurst Train Station (corner Normanhurst Road and Denham Parade)
- Normanhurst Boys High School Carpark
- Loreto Normanhurst Link Road PUDO
- The shuttle bus will run on a continuous 15-minute loop, ensuring frequent trips to and from the school for your convenience.
We encourage families to take advantage of this service for a fun, hassle-free and eco-friendly way to attend the Spring Fair!
Information Tents
Spring Fair information and assistance is available at the PAL Information Tent in the Mary Ward Quad. Additional information tents are located at Gate PH1, Gate O3 and Gate MP1. Please refer to the mapon the program.
Lost & Found Persons
Lost Person assistance is available at the PAL Information Tent in the Mary Ward Quad.
Parking
No parking is available on school grounds.
Parking is available at Normanhurst Boys High School (entrance on Fraser Rd) and in surrounding streets. Please avoid parking on Osborn Rd as it is narrow and becomes congested easily. When parking in surrounding streets we ask that you remain considerate of our neighbours by ensuring you park legally, avoiding any obstruction of driveways, and strictly adhering to parking signs. It is illegal to park on the grass verge on Mount Pleasant Avenue and cars should park parallel to the road as per the parking signs. Be advised that Hornsby Council Parking Rangers regularly monitor traffic in the surrounding streets.
Payment Methods
The Spring Fair will be predominantly cashless with eftpos facilities available at all stalls. Cash will still be accepted at some stalls. There are no onsite ATM facilities.
Photography
Photographs and videos will be taken at this event. These images and videos may be displayed from time to time around the school, and published in school publications, on its website, its social media sites and in other marketing and promotional material. If you do not wish to be included in photographs or videos, please advise the official photographer on the day. If you have any concerns or require additional information, please contact the Marketing Team via news@loretonh.nsw.edu.au
Smoking & Alcohol Consumption
Smoking, vaping and the consumption of alcohol on school grounds is strictly prohibited.
Supervision
Parents are reminded that young children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are the responsibility of that adult.
Toilets
Toilets are located around the school grounds, with additional portable options also available. An accessible toilets is located near the lift in the Aquatic Centre. Refer to the map for locations.
Water Stations
The school has a number of water refill stations. These are located in the Kids Corner, Mary Ward Quad, the Gym and on the stairs between the Veronica Reid Rooms. Refer to the map for locations.
